of Project Controls Primary Duties: “Hands-on”
manager involved in preparation, review, and final approval of project
schedules, earned value management, cost forecasts, cost analysis, cost
estimates, change management, risk reviews, and execution strategy
development for major domestic and international projects. Manage a
control staff of 14 employees in North America. Secondary Duties: Support the
Project Development Department in preparing proposal schedules and estimates
for project ranging from $100-$300 million with $600 million in order intake
per year. For the last year my focus has been to build a staff of entry
level scheduler and cost controllers, develop and philosophy for executing
project controls on existing projects, work with Linde headquarters on
designing a control department (integrate P6, SAP, and Cost Mgt. system) for
the future, and training our LPP Sr. Mgt., Mgt., and Leads in all areas of
our EPC to understand the basic concepts of control work. Intimately
engaged in all current projects and proposals. Spend a great deal
of time leading an effort to better manage/estimate change orders on existing
projects. Experienced in industrial estimates including estimating equipment,
material and installation costs for all cost categories / divisions
including; site prep, pilings, undergrounds, foundations, equipment,
instrumentation, support and platform steel, buildings, piping, ductwork,
electrical, insulation, painting, demolition, and general field costs,
etc. As well as provide engineering, equipment procurement, process and
pipe-rack module fabrication and assembly, off module fabrication, and construction
“execution strategies” and “constructability analysis” input on all

Projects Controls Mgr. included a design/build 280mw Solar Power plant
(Solana, Az / $2.4 billion), and another similar 280mw solar plant (Mojave Ca
/ $1.8 billion). In addition to managing the control staff
Schedulers, Earned Value Specialist, and Cost Engineers that peaked. Other
non-project related responsibilities include developing standards,
procedures, training staff, and overall guidance for all Project Control
group activities. My last assignment
was Project Co-Director of a biomass ethanol project (Kansas, $550
million). This project had a
staff of over 300 indirect employees and 26 subcontractors. Previous Projects

large active projects. Involved from the conceptual phase through mechanical
completion. Projects have included relocation to field assignments
during construction in various areas of the US & Mexico. Field
duties included planning and scheduling, installed quantity verification,
progress reporting, cost reporting, installation cost forecasting,
productivity/manpower level analysis, risk analysis, and special projects
including field supervision and support of subcontractors when
required. Most projects included turnarounds and shutdown planning for
